My professional journey began at the Alvalade Personalized Health Care Unit, where I completed my academic internship and had my first experience providing psychological support and assessment to patients of various age groups. This initial experience, combined with my interest in project development, led me to participate in the founding of APIPC – Portuguese Association for Clinical Psychology Intervention, a project I deeply value and which has significantly contributed to my growth, both in clinical practice and in training and supervision.
My interest in Clinical Psychology has driven me toward continuous learning and deepening of knowledge. For this reason, I completed an Advanced Specialization in Family and Couples Therapy, and I am a Candidate Member of SPGPAG – Portuguese Society of Group Analysis and Analytical Group Psychotherapy.
As for my view of life and the psychotherapeutic process, I believe that the ability to reflect on ourselves, understand ourselves, and make sense of the relationships we build is central to living more consciously, spontaneously, and freely. For this path to be possible, I see the relationship between client and therapist as the primary tool: it is within this relationship that space is created for themes and content — often difficult and emotionally charged — to be expressed, welcomed, thought through, and reformulated. It is in this process of discovery, greater self-knowledge, and self-acceptance that difficulties can be overcome, allowing for greater well-being in life and relationships.
