ABOUT US

APIPC

APIPC is a team of clinical psychologists offering psychological support and specialized assessment for children, adolescents, adults, and couples. We provide in-person sessions in Lisbon and online, in Portuguese, English, and French. You can choose the format that best fits you.

We believe in psychotherapy that is compassionate and grounded in evidence, where understanding and change unfold through the quality of the therapeutic relationship.

Our sessions are available Monday to Saturday, and all professionals are members of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association, with ongoing training and regular clinical supervision.

What is Psychotherapy?
It is a safe space where, through conversation, we explore together what you feel, think, and experience. The goal is to understand recurring patterns, relieve suffering, and create healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
The first session is an opportunity for the patient and therapist to get to know each other. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your needs and expectations, and what we might work on together. Practical matters such as session frequency, scheduling, and fees will also be discussed.
Feeling understood and at ease is essential. The therapeutic relationship plays a central role in the process. In the first session, you can notice whether you feel a sense of trust, openness, and freedom to be yourself.

Both options are available. What matters most is choosing the format that feels most comfortable for you and fits best with your routine.

This varies from person to person. The pace depends on what emerges both in and between sessions. Some people seek short-term support, while others benefit from a longer, ongoing process.
