Social Worker with Specialized Training in Systemic and Family Intervention. Family Therapist under Supervision at the Portuguese Society of Family Therapy.
My professional experience includes working in diverse contexts and areas, particularly with families facing various challenges, as well as with individuals in situations of significant vulnerability.
As a systemic practitioner and Family Therapist, I believe in the potential of families and that each one is unique, possessing the ability to resolve its own difficulties. However, there are moments when families and couples need someone who is available to walk alongside them through their world—a journey of discovery that allows them to find ways to deal with or overcome the challenges they face at a given point in their lives, with the aim of achieving the well-being of all.
I believe that Family Therapy can support families and couples by providing a safe space where the therapeutic relationship is built on respect for each person’s authenticity, enabling them to freely express their emotions and difficulties, with the hope that, in the future, they can continue their path independently.
“A family can only pose problems to itself that it is capable of solving.”
